That is why we hold elections. If people can't be bothered to get off their bums and votes, so be it. Just don't let any of them moan about anything in the future, at least not within ear-shot of me.
I do not believe UKiP did badly in London because the capital is more ethnically diverse. It did badly because London has a high number of Labour seats. Looking at the other cities in the UK and especially in the North, which are Labour controlled, UKiP also did badly.
It is clear, the perfect constituency for UKiP to cause political disruption is one full of disaffected Conservative voters with an incumbant Consetvative administration (or MEP/MP).

Apparently, according to this mystery figure, UKIP did badly because London is a " cultured, educated and young place" So, I suppose we can infer from that statement, that the opposite may be true in places where UKIP did well
