... Or not ...

http://metro.co.uk/2014/05/30/asda-defends-wearable-england-flag-that-looks-like-ku-klux-klan-outfit-4745329/

It doesn't help the "lets take our flag back from racist segments of our society" arguments very much sadly!

had a big row about this last week, ed.
someone should get their backsides kicked for that idiot outfit, surely they could have come up with a better design

I'm obviously a bit behind :)
It doesn't look like a KKK robe at all...not one little bit, unless those American racists went around with Ingerland down their backs. What a lot of nonsense !
They should bring out an England Burqa to address the balance.

Asda are of course American owned, and these things probably sell well on "Lynch a N*gger Day", Stteside.
I dont remember the KKK having a big cross and Ingerland written across the back either.

Utter load of noncsnce.
actually apart from the face not being covered it does look like a clan outfit.
it wasn't until bought out by Walmart

I'm not an England fan but I do think this has the makings of "fuss about very little" about it.
On the other hand I think they do look a bit daft.
But given the weather so far this summer probably quite useful :-)
Oh for the days when persons weren't always looking for things to be offended by.

honi soit qui mal y pense
where are they supposed to be using them, not to take to the World cup, as surely they will be largely superfluous
It will appeal to the knuckle-draggers who feel the desparate need to 'belong' to some objectionable tribe or other - and they are the only people who would be seen dead in such a dreadful piece of tat!
AOG - "honi soit qui mal y pense"

Tout AOG, mais vous devez vérifier votre orthographe!
'Oh for the days when persons weren't always looking for things to be offended by.' Says Mr Pot...
can you not keep on calling your kinsmen knuckle draggers, they may be doctors, lawyers, solicitors, nurses, who knows amongst them, it gets up my flipping nose.
A fair point well made Corby!
perhaps these will be sent to Brazil to keep an eye on cape wearers.

emmie - "can you not keep on calling your kinsmen knuckle draggers, they may be doctors, lawyers, solicitors, nurses, who knows amongst them, it gets up my flipping nose."

Can'y agree there emmie - if an inidividual belongs to any of these noble profesions, then they must, by definition, have a level of intelligence, and in three out of the four examples, a degree to prove it.

That automatically divorces them from the knuckle-draggers who need to band together to hide their insecurity by acting mob-handed.

My point was not that you need to be a knuckle-dragger to wear such a piece of nonsense, only that it will appeal to knuckle-draggers who adore dressing in a similar style as part of their bonding exercise.
so i can include idiots like Islamic Extremists in there as knuckle draggers,
good i will do so at every turn.
