You don't?

You need to tell your typing fingers that, then...
It's not loud Mickey. You don't have to sit in a muddy field.
Tilly...one year we were pitched on a slope. That was a nightmare...
mikey...yes, I also find it mystifying.

Another point that i also cannot get my head around is that if you are 65 years of age plus, you do not know what your are talking about and that your opinion is of limited or of no value, as if we have never experienced, music, sex or "having a good time."

Odd isn't it?
But mikey - you are looking down your nose at people who like going to "pop" concerts so there is a bit of pot and kettle going on here. Frankly I hate opera and classical music and would rather slit my wrists than listen to it but if you like it, then that is your business and I couldn`t care less. Each to their own. Personally, I don`t fancy Glastonbury either. I like smaller festivals but if others do, then so be it. So what?
Stop proving that you don't know what you are talking about Mikey, it really isn't helping your argument!
Mikey's not 65+ sqad. He's still a youngster.
Tilly, you might like to click on that link I provided a few pages back.
Sqad - I don`t think it`s a case of being 65 years of age. It`s a case of someone forming an opinion in the absence of any personal experience in the matter whatsover.

Why so prejudiced Mikey, about people who you think

///want to listen to loud pop music, while sitting in a muddy field and taking drugs///

Your lack of knowledge is frankly laughable

eccles...I am willing to use whatever this weeks new word for "pop music" is, if it would make you happy, but its immaterial to me.

"Classical music " is a phrase that describes a whole wealth of serious music, instead of the pure dictionary definition, which is ::::"serious music following long-established principles rather than a folk, jazz, or popular tradition. Music written in the European tradition during a period lasting approximately from 1750 to 1830, when forms such as the symphony, concerto, and sonata were standardized.

But I am quite happy for non-aficionados to keep using "Classical" and I don't think it worth splitting hairs.
Sheer size of numbers in the crowd would put me off these days, didn't have that anxiety in my concert going youth.
//want to listen to loud pop music while sitting in a muddy field and taking drugs// Actually, that sounds quite fun
The crazy Japanese punk with traditional drums will never fall into the category of 'pop'......
Most of the drug users I knew ended up dead!!! I feel sorry for the man's family but nothing for him. He must have known the risks he was taking .
They ballet on this year.

Baldric...I have made it plain on here today that if people want to listen to loud pop music, sitting in a muddy field, and taking drugs ( or not taking drugs ) its entirely up to them. I am not in any way prejudiced against them...but its not my cup of tea...its isn't compulsory is it ?

I am entitled to an opinion and you know we well enough by now to realise that when I want to express one, I will do it !
Question Author
237j...as you say...so what ? You do what you like to do and I will do what I like to do. Both of these can coexist at the same time quite happily. While the Kaiser Chiefs are playing at Glasto, Don Giovanni will be warbling out across the Downs. Now what is wrong with that !
oddly enough, the first band my mate saw this morning was The War On Drugs. Wish I was there just near impossible to get tickets!
Thanks, jno. That seems much more my kind of thing. Perhaps next year.
