I like the second one. I have that and the original running at the same time...I'm doing my own little mix.
Whilst I've never been a fan of the band, I have to say I'm looking forward to hearing this. Incidentally, young Chill and I are seeing the Black Keys in Nimes whilst on holiday, rather looking forward to it:

I like that Roy, good move.

Oh dear Mamy, and after you had gone to so much trouble ! ! !

Well, it was OK until about the 59 second mark and then something dreadful happened ! But many thanks all the same. It was interesting though. I did try, I promise !

( do you really prefer post 59 seconds to pre 59 seconds though ? )

I sat in the Royal Circle at Covent Garden and heard this, at full pelt, in 1989, my first Ring Cycle.....an unforgettable experience. Those Wagner Tubas nearly blew me away !

By the way, to enjoy Wagner, or Puccini or Verdi its not essential to be over 60 ! I attend at the Coliseum, although rarely these days, and I would say that the average age in the audience is below 30. I am sure you knew this but many people seem to have the opinion that to enjoy Classical music, you really need to be old and wrinkled, which just isn't the case.

The Proms are starting any day now, and when the BBC cameras pan around the Albert Hall, its quite plain that there is a wealth of different ages present each night, with youth much in evidence.

The Proms...thank God for the Beeb !

Oh dear Mamy (again)...could hardly recognise the Turandot at all. Sorry...I know you are trying terribly hard.
This is one of my all time favourite pieces in its original state, but it mixes well too I think. Samuel Barber's Adagio....

There must be about 50 different mixes of it out there.
Question Author
Chilli...it not often we agree but thanks for the Addinsell ! Wonderful !
You'll be very relieved that was only a sample piece lol.
I'm enjoying them...anyone got any ACEEEEEEEEEEEEED!?
If Mozart was around today he would be making electronic music.

Can I add a little real Wagner on here today please ?

This is Birgit Nilsson, the greatest Wagnerian soprano of all time, and in my humble opinion, better than her fellow Scandinavian, Kirsten Flagstad. :::

Wow...he's changed since his X Factor days, mikey.

Who has Roy ? Sorry, but I don't watch xfactor very often and I am missing out on your allusion !
To return to the original point : I was once given ketamine, by the NHS, I hasten to add, for a minor operation. I was quite dreadfully ill afterwards, with hallucinations, delusions, feelings of utter dislocation, insane dreams - and this went on for days. The doctors/surgeons involved told me that this was not an uncommon reaction. And they thought they knew what they were doing, and what dose they should be using. I dread to think of festival-goers taking stuff like this when they have no idea of its strength or purity.
a bit of Beethoven here
and not a clot of mud in sight....

Atalanta - I have no idea why Ketamine is a drug of abuse / recreational drug.
