With ten days to go, and in the knowledge that many of us are yet to put our trees up, wrap gifts, sort out the lunch menu or decide which carrol service we are attending, may I take this opportunity to wish everyone on the AB News section a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous new year.

(and I hope I'm not too early with this post!)

FYI - it might seem a bit early, but in our house, Christmas begins when the really good telly starts).
"Christmas begins when the really good telly starts"

So never then?

But yes, have a fabulous Christmas to you and yours Sp x
I hope you have a good one, sp. :-) x
Went to a 3 year old's nativity play this morning. She was a star. It felt very christmassy.
Hope everyone else has a greAt time.

Hope no one is on their own. It is a bad time if you are lonely.
Yes, I'd like to wish all ABers a happy Christmas. xx
And to you and yours sp xx

Reminded me of 80-yr-old client at the weekend. His daughter was trying to persuade him to put up his Christmas tree and he said, "nope! Until I hear Noddy Holder - it ain't Christmas."

Did you see the top Christmas songs on TV last night?

No1 was "Do they know it's Christmas"? No2 "Mary's boy child" (Boney M) and No3 "Last Christmas" (Wham)

Does anyone agree?
Aog, I didn't see it. I'd probably go for Slade and Wizzard- and the Pogues- that's a good one.
And a very merry christmas to you sp, and to all abers, and a happy new year.

AOG

The top three are horribly wrong (in my opinion)

1. Merry Christmas Everyone - Slade
2. Fairytale of New York - Pogues / Kirsty McColl
3. All I Want For Christmas - Mariah Carey

(Honourab mentions to 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day', by Wizzard, 'O Holy Night' by Nat King Cole and 'When A Child Is Born' by Johnny Mathis'
A merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all - I have yet to do anything except send cards and pressies that had to be posted.
'Christmas begins when the really good telly starts.' Do you not celebrate it, then?
A very Happy Christmas, Boo. I hope you and yours are well.

Remember me ?

The tree is up and the cards are out, drinks in and food shop next week. Nothing much on our telly unless its footie, rugby, darts, snooker, that will be MrAsks Christmas sorted. Have a nice one everyone!
compliments of the season, sp1814
