Absolutely disgusting, is this no longer England, are our armed forces something to be ashamed of so as to be hidden behind walls?

But as usual mention any of the ethnic minorities in a negative way, and the apologists come out ito play.

Not all comparisons have to actually be part of the story.

I don't mind being put in my place - or where someone thinks my place is,I may not stay there though.

When I read this story I was appalled, on no occasion should he have been told to move. This is England and he was a proud RAF member, especially one who had been injured. The person who asked him to move should be ashamed of themselves. Anyone who is offended by a man in an RAF uniform, should not be in this country. (Rant over.)

There are other ways of looking at this too......


1) NHS employee who has witnessed an unpleasant incident in the past asks the RAF Sergeant if he would move, giving that reason. In the hope a similar thing didn't happen to the already injured man.


2) NHS employee who has witnessed an unpleasant incident in the past does nothing,crosses fingers and hopes if anything unpleasant happens they can get security there quickly before further injury happens.


Should our NHS staff have to think like this? - No,but they do and when making a judgement call it isn't easy is it?

I didn't read of anyone offended - it was a pre-emptive move by an employee who had witnessed an incident in the past.

Talk about putting a slant on a story. Busy A&E waiting room, man with injured eyes in RAF uniform.
Because there had been a nasty incident aimed at a uniformed man in the recent past a member of staff SUGGESTED that he might want to wait somewhere quieter and gave the reason. The uniformed man GLADLY accepted and has made no complaint.

Hospital has apologised and said it is not hospital policy.
