That'll teach you, obviously.
In fact I've read that it was a capital offence, but I don't know if that can be true.

Aah, so she's saying that religious people should be allowed to use it ...
And non religious people, or people who follow a different religion ...
... should be banned from using it?
One suspects that every student in Brighton (or St Andrews) would suddenly see the Rastafarian light, and become converted.

Well yes, I appreciate it's her view.
But what I mean is ...
Would she campaign for her own party to legalise cannabis in Scotland?
Or is it one of those "hot potato" policies ... We want the Tories to legalise cannabis for certain groups, but we wouldn't do it ourselves in case it went horribly wrong?

So she's asking the English Parliament to enact legislation which her own party would not enact or support?
Which makes her ...
A maverick?
A loose cannon?
So she's not really serious about this legislation. She's not going to attack her own party for failing to support her?
She wants to have a pop at the Conservatives for not addressing her boyfriend's problem. But, in fact, her own party wouldn't do anything about it either?
So she's just an attention seeker, wasting a bit of newspaper column space.
Parliament have better things to do than waste their time listening to her venting about her personal hobby horse.

No she is not asking the English Parliament anything (there isn't one)
She was asking that Rastas be taken into consideration in a debate

Incidentally, if his religious observance is that important ...
He can come to Brighton.
As long as he sticks to the beach, away from the prom, he can smoke all he likes, and nobody will pay him the slightest attention. Except the students, who might ask him for a light
Again he doesn't use cannabis
