I wonder how many of our 'OWN' have never been given a chance to enjoy such things?

There must be many who have never even seen their own seasides.

Patently.
Just to give another example, he must know that Help the Aged doesn't work for children, surely?
What about Age Concern ? :-)
Judging by his posts on this thread, I think he might struggle.
We're all concerned.

Don't you start I thought better of you.

But if you wish to become a nit-picking pedant then that is your prerogative.

I would have thought that one could just take it that what was meant, was the nationality (race) of these immigrants.
Which is.......?

So what race are they?
The Fen lands Mountain Rescue Team ?
Saharan SCUBA club.
Jamaican bobsled team

Oh, hang on......
//The Hillingdon Refugee Support Group (HRSG) is a registered charity and Limited Company established in 1996 with charitable objects of welcoming and providing care and practical support to young unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees aged 16-21 years in the London Borough of Hillingdon. The beneficiaries are all looked after unaccompanied refugees and asylum seekers aged 16-21 who have come to Britain alone seeking refuge/asylum. All will be separated from their families and a significant number will have experienced childhood trauma and have lived in areas of conflict. This includes those who have independent minors.//

So there will be various groups they care for.

However as shown on this thread there are many charities supporting many and varied groups including those you describe as our 'OWN'.

Hope that sorts that part out at least.

There are charities I don't support for various reasons but that's my choice, I can always give elsewhere if I wish to.

It also says 'asylum seekers' in the link I posted above.
"But I thought that we had only taken in refugees from Syria"

Why did you think that? And why would it matter anyway?
//Don't look like Syrian refugees to me//
They don't look like Syrians to me either but having read the link twice from the Sun I cannot see where it is stated they are Syrian.
Asylum seekers and immigrants were obviously mentioned but not nationality.
