Very interesting Tony - good to have a primary source.

All positives then. Bigger turnout than reported, disciplined, organised, cross section of attendees, etc etc

Interesting article Tony, thanks for that.
Your welcome, as you say good to have a primary source.
He doesn't seem to have a problem with Sikhs

The facts that we know are this - someone who was in jail is under investigation for attacking another inmate.

He was in jail for mortgage fraud.
SP, That addresses none of the points I raised, but never mind. It doesn’t detract from what he’s saying - or does it - and if so, why?
Naomi - // ... even though he is, in effect, defending you and your freedoms.//

Mr Robinson is not 'defending' me or my freedoms.

I do not want Mr Robinson and his self-appointed busy-bodies to 'defend' me.

I want Mr Robinson to behave like a law-abiding citizen and stop agitating and stirring up trouble.

I know he won't listen, but I feel better for expressing my view.

Jolly good.

What unlawful acts? - what trouble ? Have you not read Tony's 22:49 Mon. link?
Khandro - //What unlawful acts? - what trouble ? Have you not read Tony's 22:49 Mon. link? //

I haven't mentioned 'unlawful acts', and I haven't mentioned 'trouble'.

What I said is, I don't want Mr Robinson and his friends to 'defend' me.

If you wish to respond to my posts, please do, but make sure you are not responding to what you think I have said, rather than what I have said.

Thank you.
andy-hughes, //I haven't mentioned 'trouble'. //

You have. //I want Mr Robinson to behave like a law-abiding citizen and stop agitating and stirring up trouble. //

For me, his message comes with the baggage that I know he's a proven liar...and a criminal.

I prefer to listen to those who have lead a fairly honest life.

Someone who doesn't change his name as often as he changes his socks for a start.

I stand corrected.

Apologies khandro - I can hardly upbraid you for not knowing what is in my posts, when even I can't remember five minutes later!!

To be frank - Tommy Robinson really hasn't behaved like a law-abiding citizen in the past.

Fingers crossed he's turned over a new leer...at least for as long as he's called Tommy Robinson.
For leer, read leaf.
SP, //I prefer to listen to those who have lead a fairly honest life.//

I prefer to listen to the truth - regardless of who's telling it.
> I prefer to listen to those who have lead a fairly honest life

Haven't we all done or said something we regret in life? C'mon sp! Is it not possible to admit such weaknesses, move on and prove people wrong?

Robinson gave an undertaking to the police and public at large, was true to his word and is still villified!
naomi24

The truth can be a bit of a nebulous concept.

Perhaps we infer truth based on what we already believe?

Oh I've done wrong, but nothing that could ever land me in jail.

And you're right - he promised a non-violent march, and he delivered on that. If we can have similar protests in future, that's all for the better.

I think I understand where naomi24 is coming from to some extent. Tommy Robinson is kinda like a Doreen Lawrence figure. There are a few on AB who are anti-Doreen for what she stands for, and perhaps the same is true of Mr Robinson. The message is clouded by the baggage?
