Yeah...I read that story. Self harmers don't need a drink to self harm...!
poor girl
A member of staff made a serious error in this case, poor lass having to stand there feeling humiliated.
seems odd SP, I am puzzled by this too.
very very odd..is there more to this than we know ?
I think the tesco employee might have put two and two together and made five. There is a massive mental health facility at Fulbourn. Its possible that the employee thought this lady was a patient.
No, they dont drink. But alcohol does impair your judgement.

I wonder what the headline wold have been if she was served then went home drank the lot and ended up killing herself in error whilst self harming?

*need* drink
You might well 'have it' Woofgang.
there doesn't seem to be a reason at all SP....its seems that Tesco have cocked up again.
I used to work with self harmer's in a secure unit. They certainly don't need alcohol.

Self harmer's are secretive. Getting bladdered to be able to do it is not what it's about. They want to feel the full pain...
Must be a slow news day at the Independent. If they had a staff reporter write it, instead of giving this self pitying idiot free reign to whinge about it, it would have taken up half the wordage.

A stupid cow was today initially refused service in Tescos when a checkout assistant made a mistake. The store apologised and sent her some nice flowers. Becci, who is possibly also dyslexic, was refused when she tried to buy a glass bottle while displaying her badly cut arms. After kicking up a fuss, a supervisor told the checkout assistant "sell it to the mouthy ***, it might shut her up for good".

Has Tesco;s commented ?

the lady who said she was chucked out for breast feeding later admitted she has made it all up
gromit..bit harsh !
PP...I think that was in Primark.

O Part of this thread is : do self harmers fill themselves up with ibuprofen and paracetamol and take a snot of morphine ( can you put morphine up your nose: I am sure someone has tried ) to dull that pain of self harming ?

erm no they dont....
Gromit - that was harsh. Most self harmer's have a horrible story to tell.
Prepare for incoming, gromit. (even though there's some truth n what you say)
ummmm..correct !
