I have no doubt that if they are wealthy enough to participate in this kind of scam sorry enterprise then they can afford a good lawyer to get them off then it’s just a case of taking the appropriate tax official for a slap up lunch and bobs your uncle. But as it appears that politicians are involved much simpler to change the law to make it all above board and legal.

Some suggested that there was a weird omission of US citizens in the leak. I guess that would be the next stage of the "scandal"?

Secondly we must recognise that it is lawful to arrange your affairs to minimise your tax bill ( Ld Summerskill 1962 )

Buying tax vehicles to minimise tax is expensive
and is only worth it if you are paying over £100 000 ( tax ) a year

and no I dont think there will be a cover up
there is no need to trumpet - " hey we have 11 million documents " if you are gonna suppress it - what you do is erase the info without publicity

Money doesn't grow on trees. Rich people only get rich because other people work for them (and going back generations, inherited etc.), so all that stuff, sloshing around in offshore banks accounts, is yer actual sweat of yer workin' class (and some middle class, in da' management).

It's basically proof that we're not paid enough *and* we're getting ripped off by typical profit margins. Usury was banned by the church, at one time, but ripping people off appears to be the height of moral rectitude, these days.
