It looks like the end for this investigation

Perhaps at some point in the future , it will be known where she went .
Or it could turn out to be like the Lord Lucan Mystery

Conspiracy theories excite the imagination, usually because there are untidy elements in the known facts or the official version (JFK: the fact that Oswald was silenced; was he that good a shot; the Zagruber video; ... but Oswald did hit him with at least one bullet. Diana: the disinformation about the extent of her injuries; the delay in releasing the tragic news, to give
Charles time and privacy; the distraction of the paparazzi; ... but car accidents is not how assassins work). Usually, and maybe boringly, the official version turns out to be the most likely explanation, however unsatisfactory.
In my opinion, the McCanns were guilty only of an unthinkably lax child-minding "drill" and will probably never forgive themselves. It's surprisingly easy, even now, to wander through hospitals or hotels without any security check. The chances are that this "drill" (such as it was) had been watched before by deliberate child-snatchers, or else a burglar was disturbed by Madelaine. There had been previous intruder incidents in the wider area, which the local police played down maybe to avoid alarm and later to reduce criticism of their sloppy investigation. Like Lord Lucan and Jill Dando it may well remain a mystery.

I understand what you are saying there but I feel that you are associating a link between what is commonly known as a 'conspiracy theory' and what is fundamentally the truth. I completely agree that there are sadly people who are not happy with the official narrative because they are hell bent on so-called government coverups or they don't like the people involved or just simply want to twist things to suit their own thoughts or agendas.
I would not describe this case or the investigation to be either a conspiracy or a cover up, I would however say that there has been a massive lack in investigation, facts that have been dismissed for no reason and contradictions in all of the 'Tapas Sevens' accounts on that night. I am only ever interested in facts and not theories in any kind. Albert Einstein quoted in 1954 "If the facts do not fit the theory then the facts must be changed".

As I said they are guilty and feel so sorry for Amaral. His findings are very very interesting and Kate Mccann's actions don't quite add up. Even the statements of her so called friends, all different versions of what happened.
Kate was so adamant her daughter was kidnapped whereas most other families would have organised search parties and be out looking!!!!!

Sharon, I am glad to see there is someone on this thread that isn't brain washed by the main stream media. I never believe anything anybody tells me and I love to investigate what I am told because I feel I am not in a position to judge anyone based on one biased account. Amaral did not botch the investigation, he knew exactly what he was looking for and as he got closer, there was a problem because of the McCanns connections. there were so many leads that were dismissed by Kate and Gerry because they can carry implications and it is that simple.

There can be many ways and scenarios to which speculation cannot be admitted, so for now what is important is the facts. Firstly, the cadaver dogs were dismissed as not being a reliable source for proof to any death although the trainer of the dogs who is world renound has a significant record and his dogs have a 100% success rate. Dogs are not like humans, they never get it wrong.
Was it an accident? was it something more sinister? we will not know until those responsible are outed.

I'm on your wavelength, I think. If the McCanns were covering up an accident, they showed unbelievable nerve (having just lost a beloved child, for goodness' sake!). How many of the friends were involved in the cover-up? Why did somebody not break ranks and come out with "the truth" - a story that would have been worth a fortune. This theory gets more and more ridiculous.

I understand what you are saying Naomi and that is one of the biggest reasons why this investigation is skewed. Firstly, lets say it was an accident and she died of an overdose, which has been speculated as the night before she was awake and crying for nearly 30 minutes and nobody came to her, which suggested that she was left alone 2 nights in a row. The day of her death, Kate McCann said that Maddie said to her, why didn't you come to me when I cried last night. It is a strong possibility that they could have given her a sedative that was too strong, the child awoke when they were out having food, she was drunk from the sedative, she climbed onto the sofa to look out of the window to see if she could see her mum or dad and fell over the back of the sofa onto the floor causing her to sploit her head and bleed out and die. the door was open in the bedroom because Maddie opened it and she died looking for her irresponsible parents.
PeelerPal, right. So the parents, who were dining with friends, went back to the room, found the little girl dead on the floor ..... then what? How much time passed between them leaving the table and them raising the alarm? Would they have had time to decide where to dispose of the body, to physically dispose of it, and to do it so successfully that it has never been discovered? Sorry, I don't think your theory makes any sense whatsoever.
