Just looked up the Washington Times, its owned by the Moonies and sells less than 60,000 copies

You don't have to read the Washington post to be aware the the Turkish military issued a statement saying there was no plans for a coup. An avid watcher of Turkey would have read it or seen it on the news.

So you dismiss what they printed even though it was correct?

I have searched again and found some reference to denial of a coup in foreign news sites, none of which I read, and nothing in the British media.
