When Does The Fight-Back Start?
With so many innocent people killed in the space of a fortnight, now including an 86-year-old priest in his own church by Islamists, how far does this have to go before society starts to retaliate?
I suggest 'corporate responsibility'; that for each of these atrocities done in the name of Islam, 5 percent of mosques are closed down.

I wish you'd make your mind up!
Although - if you want to prevent peaceful Muslims from access to workship simply because of your draconian punishments for innocent people - under your remit, you can go right ahead.
Since you want mosques shut down for atrocities done' in the name of Islam ... ' the vast majority of Muslims can breathe easy.
Anyone who knows anything about terrorism knows that these acts are carried out in the name of power, terror, and ISIS, and Islam has nothing to do with them.

Why dont you read all the other posts before posting such rubbish.
There are many suggestions, from the outlandish to the very practical being mused on here.
Guess you just prefer to sit back and watch it all happen on the streets, comforted by the fact you have your idealism to fall back on?

Throughout history, small pockets of evil people have latched onto causes in order to behave appallingly - often religious causes.
From the Crusades onwards, this has been going on, and it is common sense to acknowledge that the banner of the 'cause' is something on which tenuously to hang inexcusable behaviour that would otherwise lack even the pretence of a valid reason.
This is simply one more reason for terrorism.
Isis want power, and control, and destruction - they are not true Muslims, but they use that pretence to theoretically explain their crimes.
We should know better than to fall into the trap of believing that religion is anything to do with what they want - and how they go about trying to get it.

Id just like to say that I think Zacs' comment is very sensible. No one needs to be calling anyone a racist or anything like that, but it seems to me that the evil people who inspire and encourage these attacks are desperate to provoke a 'response' that will plunge us all into the anarchy they seek. They can't do it themselves so get someone else to. It wasnt so long ago we were being told that thanks to those guardians of civilisation Assad and Putin IS were a spent force. The reality is that IS are on the retreat thanks to a number of factors including a revitalised Iraqi army, but it frankly takes minimal effort to 'inspire' an attack on an easy target. And they is the worst sort of threat in many ways as you cannot really meet it in a dramatic way. That is the boring truth of the matter.

If it wasn't such a serious error of judgement, you might be right. //
I could argue, but what would be the point? You are right, of course you are - I am off to flagellate myself for thinking I could express an opinion without it being judged and condemned.

//Why not close down 100% of Mosque now? Would it really make any difference? How?//
Theres no chance of that, as local Councils are giving the Muslims planning permission every month for new ones, but if you want to build an extension for your home, you have to fight like hell to get it, plus the enormous expense.
