So why were they protesting?
You went to the trouble to explain why those other groups joined the protest, but you fail to tell me why the families of those killed by the police were present

Some of you are so impatient, why don't you give me time to explain? I have other posts to read and other posts to answer, I just can't be at everyone beck and call at the same time.

For starters, my race was never in question, or the fact that I had difficulty in drinking in a water fountain or anything about a certain level of segregation in the UK, all this is just twisting my words, and neither was it was not all an off the cuff remark.
Initially I was asked if I had to fight for a special seat on a bus.
Not actually 'fight' in the true sense of the word but 'argue' as one who is disabled and needs a specific disabled seat, in which a none disabled person is seated.
Then I was asked did I ever drink from a water fountain, the plain answer was yes in my childhood days when they were a feature in most parks and also in spa towns.
Finally I was asked have I ever rented a house, the answer was yes, before I finely bought my own.
There not too difficult is it, unless you belong to the type as one who gets a perverted delight in twisting one's words out of all proportion.

When the talk was of American civil rights and having to fight for the right o sit in a particular seat on a bus you implied you had experience of that . It turns out that it was a disabled seat on a bus, a seat you ALREADY had the right to sit on so you were not in the wrong. The impression given was that you had experience of the discrimination black folk go through whereas in fact you were asserting your already established rights. Those that had fought to sit on a bus had been handcuffed, had been arrested and had been thrown in gaol.
