At last ! The Police should have done this months ago.

"Det Supt Katie Elliott said searching the site in Milton, Cambridgeshire, was "the next logical step."

Katie....that "next logical step" was in September last year, not after nearly 5 months of tipping has been done. I hope that if and when Corrie's body has been found, an Enquiry will be launched into the Police's actions in this case. Woefully inadequate so far, and this is the son of a serving Police Officer we are talking about.

Well he's certainly the centre of attention now.

NoM, I also thought the whole story, including the later reports about his extracurricular activities, were just too "newsworthy" to be true. I don't mean they literally were untrue - more that it's all bizarre enough for me to have no theories at all.

Probably wouldn't have been a bad idea to search the tip earlier, all the same; it seems like such an obvious lead.
Yes I think they should explore all avenues, but my honestly held belief here is that he chose to disappear.
I have to say I agree with Nom, I don't think he his dead, I think the Airforce found out about his website preferences and sexual playtime, and of course they frown on anything that could bring them into disrepute.

My heart would like to believe all this conspiracy nonsense, but my brain says that he died of misadventure.
Wasn't a mobile phone signal detected 12 miles from where he disappeared and moving at a pace consistent with him being in a vehicle?
Yes, NoM.

What lies divebuddy?
Disappearing like that would take military precision ;)

Islay....I don't know about you but I consider that to be a monstrous thing to say about his Mum !

The reality is if they had searched the landfill area properly, or at all, in the immediate aftermath of his disappearance, we could at least have narrowed the options down a bit.

Instead, we are no nearer the truth here, than we were last September.

And to suggest that there has been some kind of collusion by the RAF is about as stupid a post as I have ever seen.
DB...she apparently didn't know about the girlfriend from the outset. The girlfriend "came forward" and notified the police that she was expecting his baby.
Who has implied collusion by the RAF?
//And to suggest that there has been some kind of collusion by the RAF is about as stupid a post as I have ever seen. //

What The Funicular Mikey did I suggest there was RAF collusion? Read my response not what you think is there!

Why does the written word get so misinterpreted?
Made an excellent impression of being drunk if it's all ' a set up ' ?

Islay....you posted

"I think the Airforce found out about his website preferences and sexual playtime, and of course they frown on anything that could bring them into disrepute."

Just exactly what did you mean by that then ?
That the RAF finding out about all that is the reason for him doing a disappearance act! You are far to quick to put words into people mouth Mikey perhaps step back !!
