After a terrorist attack, some people say that 'action must be taken', and that 'the West must wake up'.
These are abstracts - can anyone explain in (without the use of abstractions) what specifically they mean by 'action'.

It's simple really......we need our own Guantanamo....internment without trial for a period of 6 months, with no access to or right to practice religion.
This man had been investigated by MI5 over extremism.
These people are on a list for a reason. Those reasons are extremist views/ideology and possible plans to commit terrorism.
Time to remove them from society.

So called Peaceful Muslims, & others say, that its just a minority that are, or become terrorist.
For those peaceful Muslims, how can they follow a religion like Islam, when it says in the Koran the most horrific verses of killing, harming, disgusting female atrocities, but not only to other Religions, but their own?

The idea of 'taking action' is the standard human reaction to a massive event like this.
In order to counter our real and valid feelings of impotent fury, we like to talk of 'action' because 'doing something' implies a re-establishment of control which we feel we have lost, which is why things like this happen.
The worry is 'action' will simply feed the Jihadists more than we do already.
The Jhadists hate The West, they are convinced that we are an evil stain on the planet because we are not pure like them. They see us as something to be eliminated, and further more, they see us as aggressors, determined to destroy them before they destroy us.
So we need to be careful that 'action' doesn't simply underline this concept for them, which gives them carte blanche to do more of the same.
I am unsure what we should do, but I know what we must not do, which is behave as though the laughably titled 'war on terror' is doing anything constructive in terms of moving forward - yesterday proved once again that it is not.

Also stop pandering to so-called moderate Moslems. Eg, not only sanctioning halal meat but making it compulsory in prisons, hospitals, etc. Banning pork from school menus.
