// It's as safe as it was on 7/7/2005.//
no I think it is safer
almost immediately on 7/7
people said ( including the injured) said that the emergency services were slow to react and left people to die as it was an unsafe environment in a dark electrified Tube tunnel. There were even reports of bystanders being told to leave the injured they were tending whilst the victims screamed "no no dont leave us we'll die!"
The Br Transport Police locked themselves into their building and said "we arent coming out until things die down" coincidentally abutting Tavistock sq
David Davis said ( hey he is still in power isnt he ?) said the mismatch between what the people said happened and what the gubmint said had occurred was so great that there should be a public inquiry ( refused )
So Lady Hallett did the inquests - but hold it she had to say why they died ( "they were blown up") and whether their treatment or lack of it contributed to their deaths - so the whole sorry truth leaked out
17 wks of inquest testimoney at 250 000 words a day
five day week but it is still a long long read
and whilst thinkers like Katie Hopkins screamed on american TV - "kill them ! kill them! deport every last muslim!"
None of that happened in Manchester
