mr corbyn dismisses 3 of today’s core school subjects as “victorian” and in which it's claimed there’s no longer any interest; but does not go on to say what he’d replace them with.

What, in the opinion of AB, are subjects most relevant to today’s students worthy of replacing those subjects that now stand discredited?

I work in a school, Sixth Form to be exact and am currently in the middle of admissions. I can say that a lot of subjects are very relevant and sought after by many students, we offer 25.

The majority of students (well where I work) choose subjects that are relevant to the university course that they want to study with at least 70% opting for at least 2 facilitating subjects.

The courses most oversubscribed year on year are the sciences and maths, with psychology not far behind. Strangely, the demand for RE is huge this year, never seen anything like it.

I suppose, in answer to your question, the kids decide what subjects are relevant and what aren't.
// Tom Watson in charge of English with John Prescott setting the oral tests.//

Lord P in charge of games and boxing surely ?
//hi Mushie nice to see you posting // @16:29

If this indicates that Mushroom is posting less..................can anyone spot why that may be? (>_
You're itching to tell us I'm sure.
The curriculum as it stands is overcrowded and by its very nature is inflexible when it comes at accommodating all pupils and boring many others.

I wish I had a marvellous solution as to what should stay or go or what new subjects to introduce but sadly I don't.

There's no perfect set up that would please all.
Haha I even managed to get my cartoon emoji "edited".
As well as English, Maths and Science, Domestic Science should be a core subject, for both boys and girls.

Actually Togo I don't post much now because of ongoing technical issues with having to use IExplorer - I can't even log on anymore (bad gateway error). It appears the site owners have no interest in fixing this incompatibility so I can only post with access to other peoples resources.
Corbyn didn't say we should replace those subjects at all. He said "no one is interested in ONLY those subjects".
Righto Mushroom. I do not know what you have tried, to fix it. It is usually a registry issue. the two links I am posting may be worth a last resort solution. Just be sure you are not signing up to a contract before starting one of the downloads. I think I would try the top link, but untick or tick the boxes that result in ongoing extras that may require payments.

Yeah lets's not misrepresent Corbyn here. Let's get his misrepresentation of Gove correct shall we.

I say that because I'm pretty sure Gove hasn't said anywhere that only English, Maths and Science matter.
