It may seem like nitpicking but are you talking about Brown or Black, Mikey
Question Author
FF....this was reported in Yesterday's Guardian :::::

As the inquiry opens, it has emerged that Robert Black, the ex-chief executive of Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation, is still drawing a six-figure salary, in spite of stepping aside “to focus on the inquiry”. This will be difficult for local residents to stomach, and undermines efforts by the council to turn the page. “This is clearly an outrage,” said local resident and Green party campaigner Jennifer Nadel. “It is an insult to all those in the community. It’s absolutely extraordinary that this man is still being paid, and that not a single councillor has resigned their seats. It’s very hard to believe that the council isn’t continuing with business as usual despite all that’s happened.”
Did you see naomi's reply, Mikey?
Question Author
Yes, and I don't agree with it. There will 100s, if not 1000's of people that will be called to give evidence at this Enquiry, but very few will be paid handsomely for the privilege.
Mikey, //Robert Black, the ex-chief executive of Kensington and Chelsea Tenant Management Organisation, is still drawing a six-figure salary, in spite of stepping aside “to focus on the inquiry”.//

If that was reported in yesterday’s Guardian you had no reason to ask why Black is still receiving his salary.

//It’s absolutely extraordinary that this man is still being paid, and that not a single councillor has resigned their seats.//

Black wasn’t a member of the council. The former leader of the council has resigned.

//It’s very hard to believe that the council isn’t continuing with business as usual despite all that’s happened.”//

I’m not sure what //local resident and Green party campaigner Jennifer Nadel// means by that. She sounds confused.
Mikey at 08:23, how can you disagree with my reply? I simply answered your question - one that it now appears you already knew the answer to.
yes someone sounds confused - nothing odd there then

The head of the council has resigned - but not his council seat only the chairmanship - he goes on contributing - yeah! hooray ! The devil as usual is in the detail

//If that was reported in yesterday’s Guardian you had no reason to ask why Black is still receiving his salary. //

yes if you ask why s/o is still receiving his bliddy great weekly whack of moolah
then the answer to the 'why' is NOT - he is still receiving his whack of moolah - it was in the Grauniad.
call me picky if you like

there are many (thousands even) are concentrating on the inquiry and NOT receiving six figure sums ? The two need not be connected.

Oh, moolah man is concentrating on covering up the role of the council and others in the fire - o yes ! that wold be worth six figures to his pay masters !

(same facts different interpretation)

Question Author
No one has yet to explain and justify with Black should continue to be paid his salary, so that that he can give evidence to the Enquiry.

Oh dear, you get the wrong man and a fellow ABer points that fact out to you and you accuse her of Nitpicking. lol

mikey old chap, you are unbelievable.

I love it when a succession of comments make little sense on their own and no sense when taken together
