has the queen ever acknowledged Buenchico? If not then he is right to return the cold shoulder.

Buenchico

/// The Russians knew what to do with so-called 'royal' families. ///

What on earth are you suggesting?
Absolutely not AOG but equally Pence was right to leave too, it is called freedom of expression.

I too have no belief in God and as most on here should know by now I dislike the Monarchy. However I do stand, and will sing, the National Anthem as I believe it stands for more than the words God and Queen.
ANNE, one man looked a bit flustered and confused after I telt him I wouldn't stand so he went to talk to some high heid yin and then I had to stand in the corridor like a naughty wee lad. They waited til I was out the hall before they would start the song.

Lining the first 100 people in line to the throne up against a wall and shooting the lot of them. If they're looking for volunteers to pull the trigger, I'll be at the front of the queue.
Buenchico, might be quite a queue to fight your way to the front of especially once the Queen has popped her clogs.
Yep. Flustered and confused at the British legion !!!
Chris, I happen to be proud of our Royal Family, so you do surprise me.
No. Instead there should be no playing of anthems at sports events.
I don't like our national anthem because I believe an anthem should be about the country and not one person. Maybe it's time for a change when the Queen goes? I love Canada's anthem!
No....the right to protest should never be curtailed....remember Rosa Parks ?
Why not KARL, or are you one of those people that dislike Patriotism?

BTW, I wouldn't go round saying that in the US!
I agree Kathyan, I would also like to see an English anthem just like the other UK Nations have. We should not use the National Anthem for English events.
Qu'un sang pur abreuve nos sillons, Buenchico?
Definitely not. You can't force people to either feel or show patriotism. What would it even mean if you could?
i honestly don't get what all the fuss is about - kneeling for the national anthem doesn't exclude people being a patriot does it?
Difficult one that bednobs, particularly in the US where they have quite a different view of Patriotism.
I'm surprised anyone is surprised at what Buenchico says he is prepared to do.
Gromit; //Patriotism cannot be compulsary with strict penalises for failure to comply.//
Try telling that to your Sargent Major when you're down on one knee.
How is that relevant to a football game, khandro?
