For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.The last church service I attended in England (about 3 years ago) was a 'Sung Eucharist' in St Lawrence's church in Stroud, and the pews have been removed and replaced by chairs in a circle, so instead of staring ahead and looking at the backs of heads, everyone could look at one another, though he altar was still a focus for the service itself. I liked the arrangement very much, and it was nothing at all to do with Muslims, there were none present, though I guess they would have been welcome.
