The kid was making noise, it wasn't exactly a tantrum. The parents should have been distracting him.

Bednobs...take plenty of activity stuff..drawing books...any wee games he plays that are hand held...treats...iPad or tablet for cartoons or favourite progs...download stuff now...how long a flight ?

Bednobs, you'll be fine. I flew with mine aged 2 and 4. Besides my older one inflating the life jacket they were good as gold.

Could have been because of his ears? I have a perforated eardrum and flying is the most painful thing as I cant equalise the pressure in my ears!

Bednobs - I made sure mine were hungry and brought snacks on with me. That keeps them happy.
