I feel very uncomfortable with the video of a young child, who for whatever reason is in distress.

Yes I have huge sympathy with the passengers, it must have been hellish - if the parents had any idea of how he would react then I think they've been a bit cruel.

All the above of course is said without knowing why they made the journey - maybe it was important.

///Its not clear if the child was suffering from any health issue///

From the OP LInk
\\\The young boy has a disability, which has not been specified, that affects his behavior a source told DailyMail\\\
I do like these probing articles by the DM, where no investigative stone is left unturned.

i wonder if the mother appologised to any of the passengers or crew
perhaps a little calpol would have helped.
Maybe now the video is all over the net almost six months after the flight some more details may come out - not that we are really due any more info.
// perhaps a little calpol would have helped.//

what you think that if you gave Calpol to sundry Abers, their behaviour would improve ? - I dont think so
If the child was expected by his mum to behave like that because of his disability or illness, why couldn't she have given him a sedative? Not ideal, I know, but just to make a few hours bearable for everyone.
If you know you're travel sick then you take some tablets or whatever before the flight. If you know that you have a child will alleged problems, other than bratty-itis, then you surely take measures to control the problem, she clearly expected problems as she was asking for the wi-fi to be switched on before take off.
Mumsnet hadn't picked up on this when I looked earlier, no double the woman was practising 'gentle parenting', their euphenism for ignoring the behaviour, note that 'gentle' is almost 'neglect'.
I prefer to leave it to those who have the facts - I avoid Mumsnet like the plague, based on sound advice.
Oh Mumsnet is always good for a laugh. Apparently they have offered their pearls of wisdom, everyone's fault, especially the wicked man who filmed it.
