Diversity Training For Boris?
I’m not sure if laughing is aloud – but I did – heartily.
On a more serious note, Lord Tebbit, a former Tory chairman, accused party chiefs of inflaming the row and allowing Jeremy Corbyn to escape scrutiny over allegations of anti-Semitism.

Furthermore, Rowan Atkinson has written the following to The Times:
‘As a lifelong beneficiary of the freedom to make jokes about religion, I do think that Boris Johnson’s joke about wearers of the burka resembling letterboxes is a pretty good one. All jokes about religion cause offence, so it’s pointless apologising for them. ‘You should really only apologise for a bad joke. On that basis, no apology is required.’

He’s right … isn’t he?

Well done Rowan Atkinson. It seems to me that the tide is turning at last, hope so.

"You can't tell a difference between a burka and a niqab! Yeah really intelligent. "
No I cant and I have no wish to be so anal so I can. It's all 15cntury garb with no place around me IMO.
And anyway, your original attempt at a put down was not aimed at me was it, in replying I was clearly not claiming to be the intelligent one was I? Try reading and inwardly digesting before writing posts like that. It makes you seem daft.

I have never said it is OK for Muslim men to assault non muslim girls and they should feel the long arm of the law as any sexual predator does.
What is your obsession with integrating Naomi? Do you continually have pops at the Hasidic Jews as they have also failed to integrate but I have yet to see you attack them in the same way.
And for someone who professes to be an expert on Muslims I would have expected you to know the difference between the types of dress you are so anti.

It seems to me that Rowan Atkinson was missing the point about context. If Boris Johnson were a comedian then fair enough. But he's not, he's a politician, and, apparently, a prospective Prime Minister. Isn't it reasonable to expect -- indeed, to require -- leaders of the country to conform to higher standards than comedians?
It's a shame that Johnson saw fit to include those comparisons in an otherwise fairly reasonable article that, let's not forget, didn't advocate banning the burka. Well, I say a shame, but it's hard not to think of it as a deliberate stunt to get publicity. In that he has been spectacularly successful, and we are all suckers for playing into his hands.
