I suspect I'm going to be lambasted by some, but this is absurd isn't it?

I can't get on board with all this 'gender fluidity' nonsense, and therefore this story would normally amuse me, but the fact that people are taking this sort of patent ridiculousness seriously suggests to me that people are losing the plot.

Some people are becoming so achingly right-on that they're endorsing rubbish like this - I genuinely find it head-scratching.

If Billy Vunipola decides that at the next women's rugby world cup he's going to 'identify' as a woman for the duration, would he be allowed to play? And if not, why not?

Can I self-identify as a woman on Monday evening when I go swimming, because there's an absolutely stunning yummy-mummy that goes, and I'd like to see her getting changed? And if not, why not?

Yes, my tongue is firmly wedged in my cheek - but I think it has to be when faced with this sort of total cobblers.

I think the thing that might be difficult to grasp is that whatever people want to identify themselves as, I couldn’t really be arsed. Doesn’t affect me.

As a side note, the idea that there’s been a 4000% rise in children identifying as trans is initially worryin, but I’d want to know baseline figures.

It affects both the same really, tilly. The worrying part is that nobody can actually believe it. They usually laugh. Which is how it is going to go through. Anyone who claims to be a woman, will be allowed into all women's changing rooms, toilets, sports, hostels, prisons... it is already happening.

Hmm...I don’t think so. I do not have a dislike of, contempt for, or ingrained prejudice against women.

Sp, just believing a man can turn into a woman, reduces women into a set of sexist stereotypes. Nobody has yet been able to tell me how a man can "live as a woman" without doing exactly that.
Ironically, everything that actually is sex-based and not gender, are things that no transsexual can ever achieve anyway. If a man wants to wear make up and a dress- fine. Society sees that as feminine, but it doesn't make him in any way female.
