Simply because the only way to meet them is to stay in.

1.Does it ensure a strong and collaborative future relationship with the EU?

2. Does it deliver the “exact same benefits” as we currently have as members of the Single Market and Customs Union?

3. Does it ensure the fair management of migration in the interests of the economy and communities?

4. Does it defend rights and protections and prevent a race to the bottom?

5. Does it protect national security and our capacity to tackle cross-border crime?
6. Does it deliver for all regions and nations of the UK?

1. Define strong and collaborative.
2 is impossible outside the EU.
3 have they defined what is fair and the interests of the economy and communities?
4 means nothing. There is nothing to quantify what race to the bottom actually means.
5. Unless either side want to cut off their own noses ....
6. Deliver what?

If they think May and the government are going to want agreement on vague assurances then their six tests are just as vague simply so they can say they haven’t been met.

but Labour cant vote the govt down
or they would have done it by now wouldnt they ?
To be fair it’s Kier Starmer’s 6 tests. And why should anyone care about applying his ‘tests’ to a Conservative Govermnent?
You've summed it up perfectly in your last paragraph Cassa.Even if the Prime Minister presented a good deal to Parliament, Labour and Conservative remoaners would still attempt to vote it down.Let's wait and see what the final deal is before we make any decisions on votes etc..
Labour has stated its intention to vote down any deal that May gets.
all they are doing is ensuring we leave with no deal, great! well done and we can keep our £39bn.
If that’s true, Danny, why did most Labour MP’s follow party orders to allow Article 50 to be invoked back in Feb 2017? Surely then was the time to make their feelings clear.
ZM, it's a quote from Starmer in today's Mail.I cant post a link due to the fact I can't get Mail online today without downloading an app.
Just because Starmer says it, doesn’t make it so. The article goes on to say:
“It came as senior Labour figures engaged in an extraordinary public squabble over whether the party should then call for a second referendum – and what should be on the ballot paper.”

The missing link which would have clarified the OP:
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-6203771/Labour-vote-against-deal-Theresa-strikes-EU-Sir-Keir-Starmer-warns.html
Thanks for that ZM, how did you access the Mail online?
Just typed ‘Keir Starmer Labour will vote down any Brexit deal’
Sorry....with ‘daily mail’ in front.
Ah! ok.
anybody else think that Labour is using the situation in a way that is disgraceful?
aren't labour getting ahead of themselves? in order to put the matter to the people in a referendum, labour need to be in power. but if they get their general election and win, there won't be a referendum as they'll use their mandate to negotiate with brussels.....
I don't think the EU will be hanging about while we go through another general election.
‘in order to put the matter to the people in a referendum, labour need to be in power’

Or they could try to blackmail the Govt to have one by, as has been mentioned, threatening to vote down any deal.
Strange and dangerous tactics.
//Or they could try to blackmail the Govt to have one //

maybe. if a bill to enact the holding of a new referendum was introduced to the house today, it would be unlikely to get royal assent before next may. by which time we'll be out and it'll all be pointless.
Not necessarily. A50 has a clause whereby the exit date can be extended by mutual consent of the EU and the member state leaving.
They have tests ? Not that they mean anything, but:

It has no effect on future relations if all behave reasonably.
If it delivered the same as before it wouldn't have been worth going. Long term it will be better, and that starts with regained sovereignty.
Migration will depend on what is decided after we leave. Most fair is a nation deciding who to allow in. Unfair is importing skill needed in another's home country whilst neglecting to train those here.
Again it will depend on trade agreements yet to be made. Until we're out of the EU we aren't allowed to make any.
This will depend entirely on the EU officials being responsible people. But we will achieve the best possible.
Deliver an exit of course.

Yes, but no one's going to be idiotic enough in this country to start the neverending series of extensions, surely. There'd be riots.
