Simply because the only way to meet them is to stay in.

1.Does it ensure a strong and collaborative future relationship with the EU?

2. Does it deliver the “exact same benefits” as we currently have as members of the Single Market and Customs Union?

3. Does it ensure the fair management of migration in the interests of the economy and communities?

4. Does it defend rights and protections and prevent a race to the bottom?

5. Does it protect national security and our capacity to tackle cross-border crime?
6. Does it deliver for all regions and nations of the UK?

1. Define strong and collaborative.
2 is impossible outside the EU.
3 have they defined what is fair and the interests of the economy and communities?
4 means nothing. There is nothing to quantify what race to the bottom actually means.
5. Unless either side want to cut off their own noses ....
6. Deliver what?

If they think May and the government are going to want agreement on vague assurances then their six tests are just as vague simply so they can say they haven’t been met.

In what way will regained sovereignty benefit us, OG?
Not sure who would start talks of an extension, OG but another farcical step, given the ones which have happened so far, wouldn’t be too difficult to comprehend, would it?
Benefits from the EU, by my reckoning we have been stiffed for many years, had a lot of pointless laws imposed, funded a gravy train for the leaders and lost out in areas like immigration control, fishing, control of our laws, and had to impose a human rights policy which seems to benefit the criminal more.
Breaking news: opposition might actually oppose for a change.
‘lost out in areas like immigration control‘ did we.....how?
Well congratulations on making the case for binning Brexit!
Keir Starmer just said this:-

If it is not possible (he was referring to a general election), we must have other options. And, conference, that must include campaigning for a public vote. Conference, it’s right that parliament has the first say. But if we need to break the impasse, our options must include campaigning for a public vote. and nobody is ruling out remain as an option.

the last sentence wasn't in the official text of the speech circulated beforehand.
Link?
Thanks mush. Interesting.
ZM: "In what way will regained sovereignty benefit us, OG? " - don't start all that tri1pe again.
"nobody is ruling out remain as an option" promote Keir Starmer to leader, call a General Election, then sit back and watch the Cons Panic, bring it on, Perleeaase.
I know that the Labour Party is getting ever giddier with its nonsensical policies, cushioned by the cast-iron certainty that they are never going to be called to implement them as a government - but even by their standards, they seem to be losing the concept of behaving like an official Opposition Party, and instead trumpeting their qualifications for government of a box of paper clips.

Can anyone bring them back to Planet Earth?
//promote Keir Starmer to leader, call a General Election,//

keir starmer might be ticking all your boxes, but he'll never be leader of the labour party whilst momentum are in the ascendancy. he's a Blairite through and through and what's more, he's thoroughly unprincipled when it comes to acting in his own interest. if he believed his career would get a leg up if he were to "throw" the election and let the tories in, he'd do it.
Dennis Skinner is a principled man and wants put.
That says it all.
Echoes of Tony Benn.
I'm one who sincerely hopes there is another referendum. I don't believe people actually knew what they were voting for in the first. We're in a sorry state and it can only get worse outside Europe. Another vote would put this to bed once and for all.
Yep, let's keep on having referendum after referendum until we have the one the remainers want.
No danny, lets have another referendum where people actually know what they are voting for!
Maggie, they voted to leave the EU.
The ‘tripe’ anyone has failed to give a valid answer to you mean, Tora.
