surely the EU have told us what their plans are and it doesn't
include any more concessions. So what is Mrs May doing there.

“No the DUP seem to all intents and purposes wanting to kick this into the long grass.” They are not the only ones, emmie. The agreement effectively splits the United Kingdom down the Irish Sea, Traders in Great Britain will have to make customs declarations to send goods to Northern Ireland because NI will be treated as part of the EU’s customs union...

sevenOP, I did elaborate on that. @ 14:01.

It's quite clear. But to put it simply if labour were more acceptable to the public May could not have got away with her balckmail.

Brexit deal latest news: Theresa May's hopes dashed as Angela Merkel rules out re-negotiation

This will either concentrate the minds of the rebels (who don't want to loose their seats) or head us for a Hard Brexit.
or even 'lose' their seats
"This will either concentrate the minds of the rebels (who don't want to loose their seats) or head us for a Hard Brexit."

Or no Brexit at all.
I must say I'm shocked to find NJ in agreement with me, especially as I hadn't quite realised that was what I was saying.

Still, in as much as the deal on offer is unsatisfactory to either side, any attempt to force it on us by running the clock down is contemptuous, in every sense of the word.
Yes indeed, NJ. But that just has the same result (Con MPs losing their seats to Labour).
But the EU are usually so accommodating. I reckon it's May's accent; Rutte and Merkel must have thought she was asking them to do some twerking.
No Brexit will destroy public faith in our government system and it's claim to represent the people as a democratic institution. It's still only delivering a no deal exit that holds any honour going forward.
"It's still only delivering a no deal exit that holds any honour going forward."

Indeed it is, OG, and the option that should have been pursued from the outset (to concentrate the minds of our European "partners"). However it will not be countenanced by our Lords and Masters here in the UK. Thus we're left with the only "deal" that is on the table which effectively splits the country in two (which, quite frankly, the PM should not even have brought back, let alone put to Parliament) or no Brexit at all. A monumental failure (or possibly success, depending which side of the argument you are on) but also an extreme example of political deceit and dishonesty.
Sorry if I've missed it, but is there an EU view of 'No deal'?
I suspect they believe we don't have the nerve; and if we do the elite don't care because they want everyone to see leaving causing issues to the leaver, and have no concern about if causing issues for remaining member states.
You make a good case OG why everyone should leave the EU.
"Sorry if I've missed it, but is there an EU view of 'No deal'?"

You haven't missed it. It's never been mentioned. But the (alleged) problems that will ensue for the EU will also follow for the EU. Neither side wants a "no deal" Brexit (though I and many others do) but No Deal is infinitely preferable to the current abomination that is, apparently, "the only deal possible".
I think May is up to no good - I believe she will indeed come back with a "Chamberlain moment", but what it will be is anybody's guess.

My view is that it will be something to (try to) reverse the vote. And that is certainly playing with fire, but she just might get away with it (unlike Chamberlain whose triumph was short-lived).

The suspense is killing me.

it'll be like an encore after a concert. The band pretends it's not coming back on stage but they do. Similarly the EU will have worked ths out with the PM the other week. They both put on and act she goes back to them they giver her something, back she comes with the Chamberlain moment. Parliament are reassure they pass the deal with a small change that looks big and alleluia praise the mighty May! We are out with a terrible deal that tub kuffs us on prime time for the rest of our natural. All the remoaners say told you so and the brexiteers are duly punished for having the temerity to want their nation back.
Except.........
There is no amendment to the deal.
There is no such thing as a hard Brexit, just Brexit and soft Brexit.

I don’t care if we ramain in the single market or customs union. But if we do we should not be accountable to the EU in any way. We should not accept EU laws. We should not pay vast sums of money to the EU. We should not be beholden to the ECJ. We should not accept free movement of people. We should be able to make our own trade deals around the world as we see fit.

If we can do all that within the single market and customs union I say OK. If not then we leave.

When we leave we get to talk like adults with a hard negotiator on our side getting the free trade deal we and the EU want.

Who is the hard negotiator?
