///"What leads you to believe Prince Phillip's mind is not stable?"

The fact he is 97 and recently got into a car crash that could of been a LOT worse than it was.///

If a 27 year old had been involved in the same accident instead of a 97 year old, would you consider his mind to be unstable. Your logic goes thus:

- Some 97 year olds are of unstable mind.
- A 97 year old was involved in a car crash.
- The crash was caused because he had an unstable mind.

Quit whilst you're not too far behind, spathi.
//Maybe he’s simy too comfortable behind the wheel, evident by him already having a new car.//

FGS Spath. This is a working estate. It is nearing the end of the shooting season. I know it is a very busy time of year for them. Of course their Fleet Managers are going to get in another vehicle asap.

Anyway, if it had been me, I would want another vehicle here immediately. Are you trying to say that if you were involved in a crash you would wait and see what the police were going to do and go and have a mental capacity test BEFORE you sorted out a replacement vehicle?!

spath is rapidly proving that he hasn't got the mental capacity to drive a car.
Sky News has reported he went to hospital on doctor's advice for a precautionary check-up which confirmed he had no injuries of concern.
Oh and a new Landrover has already been delivered.
Bhg, if anything i feel ive proven the oppo
Spath the only thing you have proven to everyone is that you probably ought to stick to cutting lawns.
Buckingham Palace say Prince Philip has also been in touch privately with the occupants in the other car and well-wishes exchanged.
Hehe, fair play
// if anything i feel ive proven the oppo \\
I think that's part of your problem Spath.
98 year old man has crash shocker!

Why is there so much coverage of this? The BBC has just spent 10 minutes on the Prince's crash with barely a comment about the people he's injured.

Still, good to see he had a new Land Rover delivered within 24 hours...although I doubt the other people have received such great service.

I can't help siding with the brilliant Kathy Burke on this issue...

// with barely a comment about the people he's injured //

I haven't seen anywhere that he was at fault yet.
Don't get me wrong, I like Prince Phillip a lot...and I think the following comments he made are utterly inspired - but surely 98 is too old to still be driving, isn't it?

A VIP at a local airport asked HRH: “What was your flight, like, Your Royal Highness? Philip: “Have you ever flown in a plane?” VIP: “Oh yes, sir, many times.” “Well,” said Philip, “it was just like that.”

To Susan Edwards and her guide dog in 2002: “They have eating dogs for the anorexic now.”

To Scottish driving instructor, 1995: “How do you keep the natives off the booze long enough to pass the test?”

The above are shamelessly C&P from this https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/prince-philip-best-gaffes-quotes-133848
On a positive note...at least JLR have secured one sale this week!!

//Asked if Prince Philip was trapped, Mr Warne replied: "Yes, he was. I asked him to move his left leg and that freed his right leg and then I helped him get out."
He said he couldn't remember what the duke had then said, but added that "it was nothing rude". //

Nothing rude? Philip must have been really shaken up...
"I haven't seen anywhere that he was at fault yet."

If the picture in the link below is accurate, then there is no doubt that he was at fault.

Fair enough, that's the first I've seen of that.
“with barely a comment about the people he's injured. “

It’s awful
Baldric, it was known that he pulled onto a main road almost straight away, some say its still not his fault, due to a blind spot. I thinks (so just opinion ere) he barely stopped to look. But speculation that is.
Driving without Duke heir and attention.?
IF what has been reported is true, there can be no doubt. It is entirely incumbent on a driver pulling out of a side road with Give Way markings to ensure it is safe to pull out. Even if the driver on the main road was speeding (and there is no suggestion they were) it remains the responsibility of the person crossing the Give Way signs to ensure it is safe to do so.

Open and shut case.
