maggiebee, // I think everyone deserves a second chance in life - thank God I was given one. //

Were you radicalised?
No Naomi I wasn't but I was still given a second chance in life. I think everyone deserves one.

Maggie, you're just repeating yourself, given what she did and why, how do you justify her return to the UK?
I think removing the citizenship sends a good message to the rest of the world.

I hope the EU take care of Shamima though and keep an eye on her.
Never mind the EU! I hope the Security Services keep an eye on her!!

Spath, last I saw she was in Syria which I don't think is in the EU.
Correct Baldric but her kid and husband(??) are dutch so she probably has more chance with the EU than she does the UK.
A Jihadi John style drone is the best answer for the Begum beast.
More to come??

//In the past week alone at least 12 women with UK citizenship have shown up at refugee camps in northern Syria as operations to drive ISIS out of its last pocket of territory in the Middle Eastern nation draw to a close. “We know that in the last week alone, 12 British women have arrived at displacement camps here in northern Syria. So for the British Government, this headache of what to do doesn’t end with Shamima Begum,” the Middle East correspondent commented."
Contrary to assertions that Begum and other young females who left Britain to join ISIS’ caliphate in the Middle East were ‘victims’ who were somehow failed by British society, and naive teenagers “groomed” by internet propagandists, a newly published analysis of 20 cases by the Henry Jackson Society revealed that ISIS brides “had self-radicalised”, and — compared to male jihadists — had been “more active and independent in seeking out extremist material”.//

I'd say joining ISIS is treason, but that's just me.

"Most recently, the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act formally abolished the death penalty for treason, replacing it with a maximum punishment of life imprisonment."
maggiebee, // I think everyone deserves a second chance in life - thank God I was given one. //

The children at the Manchester bombing deserved one, but she said it was justified.
Maggiebee, If her buddies separated your head from your shoulders she wouldn't give a damn so why you think she deserves any chance at all is a mystery.
I wonder if all the dispossessed women and children who had nothing to do with ISIS that are stuck in the hell hole that she wants to escape from will get a second chance
// I think everyone deserves a second chance in life //

I disagree. I don't think everyone does.
It depends on the severity of what they've done.
There's hope yet:

//Is she entitled to Bangladeshi citizenship?

Expert lawyers with experience in Bangladeshi citizenship cases have told the BBC that under Bangladesh law, a UK national like Ms Begum, if born to a Bangladeshi parent, is automatically a Bangladeshi citizen. That means that such a person would have dual nationality.

If the person remains in the UK, their Bangladeshi citizenship remains in existence but dormant.

Under this "blood line" law, Bangladeshi nationality and citizenship lapse when a person reaches the age of 21, unless they make efforts to activate and retain it.

So, it is Ms Begum's age, 19, that is likely - in part - to have given Home Office lawyers and the home secretary reassurance there was a legal basis for stripping her of her UK citizenship. //

I believe that the Bangladeshi Government has already stated that she is not welcome there Naomi, despite being a caring sharing Muslim country. No one has yet called them heartless and callous.
Who say's the UK is heartless?

Think that photo is reason enough for anything we decide regarding terrorism.
