'German comedian Henning Wehn made a number of surprisingly sensible points on Question Time on Thursday night, pointing out the utter futility of holding yet another referendum. He was a refreshing change from the usual ‘woke comedian’ bores, he said;

“If two years ago you felt that the country is run by unelected European Union bureaucrats, well I don’t know what would have changed your opinion on that one over the past two years!”'

An excellent point, would you not agree?

Second referendum
We vote to leave again, best of 3?
We vote to stay Herr Junker would have us
grovelling,
Concur with Wehn. Bring on Brexit.... If we want, we can rejoin EU later, on our terms.
The entire point of a referendum is that is is supposed to be a 'One Off' you hold it to see what the electorate want. You do not just keep on having them until one gives the result you desire !
If one thing is absolutely crystal clear it's that we could NOT rejoin on our terms..
that's the whole point of the thing.

See New Judges examples above if you don't believe me. The EU makkes the rules, you agree to comply or you don't get in.

" If we want, we can rejoin EU later, on our terms." Almost. Our current membership includes opt-outs and a rebate. If / when we rejoin, it will be on the terms as any other new member.
How about the tactic of talking utter cobblers, and instead of providing proof defending the cobblers, continually asking someone to get busy wasting their time finding irrelevant specific counter examples, whilst those playing the tactic sits back and enjoys their little game, all the while ignoring the obvious facts already presented regarding the EU rules/laws ?

It's fooling no one, and it got boring a long time ago. One should defend a view in the face of opposing evidence if one wishes/can, or not; but not keep asking for more and more evidence simply because one has no answer and wishes to hide the fact.
Terms tend to be mutually agreed, or whatever is being discussed doesn't happen. Why we'd ever want to rejoin is a mystery though. When something has got too bad it's often better to write it off and start again. Europe could benefit from forming a trading block; pity the last attempt lost it's way.
Exactly the reason I voted 'out'!
“If two years ago you felt that the country is run by unelected European Union bureaucrats, well I don’t know what would have changed your opinion on that one over the past two years!”'

The comic described this problem very succinctly and clearly. The second referendum will not be. It is difficult and expensive. One thing is clear: a lot of restrictions in the European Union and, most importantly, all the strags and the population began to live much worse than before joining. All hoped for concerted collective action and mutual assistance. This is sad for today. Hope was joyful and optimistic.
Like I've said before, if there IS a second referendum, I will never vote again, total waste of time !
OG, ironic that you should mention ‘evidence’ when you provide non to back up your claim that the EU laws have any real effect on our daily lives.

You’re just another leave voter who can’t justify why they voted leave. You perpetuate myths to try to back up you’re crazy unfounded claims and then try to waffle your way out of it by bizarrely trying to turn the tables and ask me for evidence. I can’t provide any, because.....there isn’t any. Meaning one of the core values of you voting leave is based on a fallacy. Well done that man. Well done.
As for NJ’s patience (?) well done again. I’m sure the power of vacuums / not being able to buy energy gobbling lightbulbs / industrial strength paint stripper & bee killing weed killer are WELL worth voting leave for. Thank you for making my point for me.

Zacs; I'm not sure if you are genuinely naive, or plain stupid, the former would be the most generous.
Address your question to David Cameron and ask why in his frustration with Brussels he called for a referendum.
I'd be more inclined to ask Mr Cameron why his frustration with ideologues in his own party led him to hold such a poorly planned referendum and sell the country down the river?

Second referendum
We vote to leave again, best of 3?

What would the point of a 3rd vote if it was already 2-0?

Truth, truth, and more truth.
I’m still waiting for some examples to justify the statement that Henning made and you seem to support, that EU bureaucrats run our country. If you consider me stupid for asking that, I’d go take a long hard look in a mirror (you can do this before or after you come up with another waffley non specific answer. It’s entirely up to you).
