Whilst not condoning this behaviour by a certain few, LBC radio decided to make this a news subject for their phone in.
Having listened to this I was surprised at the way this behaviour was criticised as being part of our British (but mainly English) behaviour when we are abroad.
Two callers one a Black male and an Asian lady, who I suppose would demand that they were British born and bred, were amongst those who slagged off 'The Brit's' culture.
The Asian Lady criticised the way British women dressed when they were abroad, with their skimpy attire and tattooed arms. Whilst the Black fellow chose to link 'The Brit's' aggressive behaviour back to the days of our Empire.
Why is this sort of criticism of our behaviour and culture allowed, yet if we criticise other's cultures and their behaviour, we are classed as being racist? Indeed it would never be allowed to be the subject for a radio phone in.

//They seem to lose their self respect when on holiday//
This chap didn’t seem to have much self-respect last week:

But having no self-respect is one thing. Having no respect for your fellow travellers, one of whom may shortly be sitting on the very seat his sweaty torso had vacated, is quite another.
//When people blame *the brits* for unsociable behaviour abroad ,would it be more accurate to say English .?//
No it wouldn’t. There are only more English involved in these unsavoury incidents because they outnumber those from other parts of the United Kingdom by about six to one (a fact often overlooked when matters which affect the entire UK are discussed). Proportionately I imagine those from Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland are just as well represented.
As already mentioned, the problem with “trouble abroad” is that foreign travel has been made affordable to the Great Unwashed. There’s nothing like rationing products by price to make them more exclusive and less prone to (though not entirely immune from) behaviour such as this.

//Holy Jesus. Do people really think this way in 2019?//
Yes I do. I thought that way twenty years ago and will think that way for as far into the future as I can foresee.
Many people don't know how to behave themselves. Rationing something like travel by price will not keep the well off who misbehave away from it. But since there are fewer well off people than those less well off it follows that fewer people who misbehave will be involved.

So answer my questions then, seeing as I have your attention:
Why would someone black or assign demand to be seen as British? 1. Why have you assumed they weren’t?
2. Why, if they weren’t, would they demand to be seen as British.
Unless you can convince me otherwise, my points about your agenda and argument remain.

There are a type of Brits that go to specific destinations that are set up to attract them to get their money pouring into the bars. Places in Ibiza, Majorca, mainland Spain, Portugals Algarve, etc. etc. The majority of British avoid these places. The majority of British holidaymakers are not hooligans. The countries that now complain have only themselves to blame. They wanted the money and provided just what the hooligans want.
