Personally, I think there should be a list of moderators. I see no reason why they should be anonymous. But that's a whole new thread.

The obvious reason there should be no such list is that many decent members wouldn't agree to moderate if they had to put up with the flak directed towards some.

As far as I can see flak is directed at only one mod here - and he is the author of his own misfortune. He gets as good as he gives. Mods should be known.

I find this constant clamouring for moderators to be known quite comical really, what would anyone do and when and why?

Track them down and rip the heads off the flowers in their window boxes?

There's a few on this thread for example, hence if a post of mine went how would a list tell me which one was my target?
