I think Megan has tried her best to fit in with the royals and royal protocol and has basically given up and doesn't much care any more. i dont think she antipated what a difference it would make to her life. Kate is basically a well bred English rose from a wealthy family who got the upbringing that fits in with her position.

In any situation where one is the newcomer I think that one is expected to integrate gradually, but when they were on stage as the 'fab four' shortly after their engagement or marriage she dominated the conversation, it was all about what she thought. The only way any of us get to see images of the Royals, and 'hear what they think' is via the media, and as this example shows, the media is able to make any individual appear as a saint or a demon, depending how they slant things.
