Zacs,
We know from the OP link.
That is just to say we accept it as information provided, not that it is verified accurate.
like Gromit, I wonder how the infection rate can be linked to the easing of restrictions only a week earlier. You'd at least suspect it was only coincidence.
Gromit, so you’ve gone from saying we (the UK) don’t have any info on recovered cases or an R0 value to arguing about the accuracy of the figures I’ve supplied for you. Unbelievable.
Zacs

The UK recoveriesis NOT available on Worldometers.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/country/uk/

Germany has a figure. They claim 120,000.

Hi Zacs,
So how many in the UK have recovered ?
Go back to my link, just over 900k.
Not sure what you’ve linked to but this is what I get:
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/
That's the world figure though Zacs- although how reliable it is I have real doubts
I'm not sure what 'recovered' means though. Is it just those tested who recovered. All those in hospital who recovered? Anyone who thinks they had it and now feels better?
"would still have to face a probable re-infection rate."

In an ideal work the lock down would stop the rate of spread so much to a point where there isn't a viable host, because either.. (Sadly) they have died, more happily they recovered and beat it or because simply no one was arround for the virus to inhabit, making it die out. If it became "extinct" (us humans are good at forcing a species into extinction) then there wouldn't be a virus to reinfect us.
900K.

Unbelievable (probably because it is not true.

The USA with over 1 million cases is only claiming 142K.
Spain 123K
Italy 68K
France 46K

And you reckon 900K+ recovered in the UK.

https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

Don’ think so.

Apologies, that was the world figure. I’ll see whether Google can be my friend.
Zacs,
I asked hoe many have recovered in the UK.

You provided a figure of 962,763, which is for the whole world.
Out of 962,763 figure the UK recoveries were 0.
Zacs
Worldometers says UK Recovered N/A.
I can only assume figures aren’t available due to the adjustments announced last night at the briefing (care homes etc). I’ve used Worldometer before and they’ve been there.
Zacs
I look at worldometers Every day and they have NEVER had a uK recovered it has always said N/A.

Here it is Last week - 22.04.20

Again, you are correct. It doesn’t alter the fact that the first comment you made in this thread:
‘Wow, Germany have a virus reproduction rate.
We haven’t because we are not testing properly.
The UK is reduced to just guessing without any data.’

In line with your usual anti-UK stance.

ToraToraTora
// UK R0 = 0.62, down from 2.6 pre lockdown //

That was the figure on 1st April. Has it not changed in 29 days.

If we do have a 0.62 RO, then it IS possible to ease lockdown in a controlled way. Below 1.0 was always the tipping point, and we are there.
never seen so much wriggling in my life, accept it gromit, yet another attempt at anti Britishism back fired.
