TWT: //you just cant bring yourself to call them kids or babies can you...
more snidey little digs...what a pathetic non-entity you are...you cant hide it...its your nature//
Naomi: //Yes, diddly. Where is your Christian love for your fellow man?//
The above is TWT's response to Diddly using the word "Sprog", followed by you backing him up. The word, as I said, is a common slang term and is in no way derogatory.
Oh I see, Mozz. You wrongly assumed I was referring to the word 'sprogs' when actually I was referring to the bit about 'pathetic little digs' because diddly is prone to resorting to those. Have it as you will though because now you mention it I think the word 'sprogs' is derogatory. I would never describe a child as such.... but each to his own.
Don't be daft,
Btw the urban dictionary says sprog is derogatory so modern usage might lean that way. Other sources , Some suggestion it is of Australian origin and may originally have meant an illegitimate child
Rowan, the dictionary definition quotes it as slang rather than offensive, but I might be wrong, either way, I don't believe it was used in an offensive manner in this instance.
//Diddly will no doubt be delighted to hear that. Support for her opinions are generally pretty scarce around here.//
I honestly couldn't give a hoot how she feels, if I think someone is right, I'll agree with them, whoever they are. Hell, I even agreed with you about Malala in the Greta thread!
"Thank you Mozz - nothing wrong with the word "sprog".
normally there isnt...but like a lot of words and terms its the context and way its used...and in your case most of know exactly where youre coming from and why you used it in this case...
you cannot hide youre distasteful character behind words...you give yourself away at every turn...and using the word sprog here was just another fine example...
TWT, you seem to be on a one person crusade to discredit every post Diddly makes. While I admit that 99% of them are fair game, I really think you're reading way too much into this one, and your judgement may be clouded by a desire to find shenanigans, even if there are none.
