You often find with the terminally self-obsessed, they often tend to tell everyone to do one thing, while they go and do another.
Mr Cummings' reaction to this debacle speaks volumes about the absence of respect he feels for the electorate, his family, and the government who are left trying to cover for him while he stays out of sight.
Watching Grant Schapps on the briefing tonight was a veritable exercise in wondering what the phrase ' a drowning man clutching at straws … ' actually looks like on television.
I'd pay big money to be within earshot the next time those two are within speaking distance.

Personally, I'd move on to something with more substance, this one is a slam dunk, and even your championing of him is not going to redeem Mr Cummings in the eyes of anyone with a modicum of objectivity.
