When you consider that they were forced to move out of Apartment 5b and into a villa, and had to load up all their things including all Madeleines clothes and shoes into the car, its little wonder her scent was picked up.

Do you think her parents put her body into the car boot and disposed of it in front of the worlds media? Where did they store her body for 2 weeks before they hired the car?

For goodness sake stop with the speculation and the accusations. I would be prepared to guarantee that no one feels more distraught about this than Madeleine’s parents. They will never forgive themselves and they are genuinely serving a whole life sentence for what was, in retrospect, a mistake. I sincerely hope that this new lead will bring closure. Those poor people need, at the very least, to know what happened to their little girl. I cannot imagine how unbearable this is for them. This has to be a parent’s worst nightmare.

Absolutely.

I do try very very hard not to judge people - sometimes it's easier than other times.

But you are right, they have paid for their lack of judgement, and will continue to pay for it every day, and that has to be a really terrible price for anyone.
