The damage being done to our economy is incalculable yet I see people in the street being interviewed on the news saying they accept it and its nessasary and they will comply and some saying it doesn't go far enough. Do these people understand how the economy works? I seriously doubt it. The only people who dare mildly disagree are the business owners of bars and restaurants who are in real danger of having to close down permanently. When the tsunami of unemployed start rolling down the track after furlough is ended, these same people who are calling for the lock down to continue will then be blaming the government for the increase in unemployment. I really do despair.

Restraunts not restraints. Some sort of pridictive text at work today??
Don’t worry about NJ, he lives in a slightly parallel universe to the rest of us.
The first thing they should have closed is the hospitals . . . to Covid patients. As it goes now it's the most innocent, caring, careful and responsible that are as a group suffering the most for the actions of the least innocent, caring, careful and most irresponsible.
Spot on NJ.

The Covid worshipers are not interested though. The back of the sofa is now their world and sod everyone else - their pension will keep piling in while others struggle on the bones of their backside.
There you go bobbisox- theres one of the several posters you hadnt noticed here who thinks the lockdown supporters are all pensioners.
Its obvious the judge is completely out of touch with everything and doesnt listen to allmost all scientists, doctors and goverments across the world and all political parties in UK (except UKIP). Yet a handful of poster's worship him/her and swallow every word
Emmie @ 13.01: /dave are you content for there to be no lockdown at all and we go about our daily lives./

A big yes to that from me! And bobinwales, the "A" doesn't mean "I", which, curiously you always post.
What's the problem? Word recognition?
Freedom is not a product of irresponsibility.

Agreeing with NJ isn't worshipping him bobbin. Imagine destroying an economy over a virus with 99.5% survival rate, sounds ridiculous doesn't it?
NJ is the only person so far who has made any sense on here about the CV19 measures. Everyone else says things like, what if this, what if that, maybe this, maybe that, perhaps this, and, "what would you do then?"

NJ nails it every time. And lots of people on here don't like it because they know he's right.
Thank you bobbinwales,

Truly smacks of the ugly green giant ymfb

If we have a private pension it means we've worked damned hard for it !!!
dave, ask the famly's of a quarter of a million US citizens or of 60000 UK famlys, and then thin what would of happened without restrictions- double the deaths, are NHS overloaded, more doctors and nusrses dying, other patients unable to get even basic treatments .
Why would all goverments ruin there economy for nothing. Do you think scientists wount rather be able to go to restraunts ect
Are bobinwales and bobbisox one and the same person? Posting replies that look like they are complementing each other when it's the same person? Go on. Admit it! It is innit?!!!
Damn!...Busted!!
//Imagine destroying an economy over a virus with 99.5% survival rate, sounds ridiculous doesn't it?//

Yes it does. Try one and thirty die, ignoring for the moment those who never fully recover.
There is no option that saves the economy. Without restrictions, there will be huge numbers of preventable deaths and that would inflict serious economic damage.
"Yet a handful of poster's worship him/her and swallow every word"

I wouldn't know about that, but he's so often right on the button, and good at explaining why to the sceptical, that he's likely to pick up support.
I must say I find it very difficult to follow posts that are littered with spelling errors.
Draconian? ha, ha. Obviously your understanding of the word and mine are poles apart.
Sorry, that was to the OP. Just can't be bothered with this sort of thread any more.
