Contrary to the lofty (and incorrect most of the time) views of our fellow poster Naomi, I am aware of the basic pricniples of the two faiths, and their difference.
I do not believe that the difference negates the ability of any individual to interpret his or her holy text in a way that they are comfortable with - and I that any worshiper on any faith does exactly that.
You as a Christian must be aware that to literally carry out each and every word of the bible is simply not possible, so you take the bits that work for you, and apply them.
No problem - unless of course you deny that same principle to any other faith, in this case Islam - because that is simply religious superiority, and again, it has no place in your belief system.
