While it became eventually true that the Labour Party and its supporters fell out of love with Foot, Kinnock, Blair, Brown, Miliband, and Corbyn I sense that they are already disappointed with Starmer. He has, to quote someone else, the charisma of a damp rag.

Disregarding any polices any party may have, a leader in my opinion has to be liked in many ways before people vote for them, I'm not and never will be that interested in politics, but I don't think many like Starmer, and for sure he won't drum up much support in his cheap remarks regarding the present problems.

Why? Did the blair government not do any of those things?

And the minimum wage is the greatest con in a hundred years. It has driven wages down and not up.
//(proved to be a mistake - it blew up on its own in 2008)//

Well sunk, to be fair to Blair and Thatcher (it is season of goodwill) the financial crisis was not something that only effected the UK was it. It really started in US subprime market did'nt it?
That is true bobbi yes. We might have suffered less though if blair had been less terrified of regulating.

I cant find any evidence for that. Perhaps you can tell me what i should read.
There's only one thing on peoples mind at the moment , and its not who's in number Ten. If Starmer believes he's making progress to win an election, he's a fool, he would gain more support to be seen helping the present government and supporting like he said he would do when he became leader, instead of sniping at everything they do, like me. No joking apart, he needs to get real.
have a day off Mozz, Blair was a Thatcherite!

When asked what her greatest achievement was she said "New Labour - we forced Labour to change" - they changed they were new "labour" Tories in all but name. Gawd Blair even invited TGL to no 10 for tea. If any realo Labour supporter really thinks that New Labour was what they wanted then they should be voting Tory.

Never fails to amaze; The Left takes credit for the minimum wage and, at the same time, says Blair was a Tory.
I haven't said Blair was a tory...
who are "the left"?
If they were tories in all but name then same sex unions would never have been legalised and section 28 would never have been repealed... minimum wage would not have been introduced either (regardless of whether you think that was a good or bad thing).
Foxhunting would never have been banned either.

"Blair was Tory Lite" said Tora.
You are confused paigntonian.
//When asked what her greatest achievement was she said "New Labour - we forced Labour to change"//

That doesn't say much of the Milksnatcher's achievements during her time in office then does it 3T?
it says bucket loads mozz, if only you'd see.
How do you explain new labour doing so many non-tory things if they were tories?
untitled: How do you explain "Labour" not undoing Tory things when they had the chance? Union law etc??

You are replying to the wrong person, I didn’t write that.
They did undo Tory things - they abolished section 28. How do you explain them doing that and banning foxhunting and introducing min wage if you think they were tories?
