I believe most who have served in the Armed Forces develop a sense of pride and belonging to an elite group that stays with them for life, that those of us who haven't will not understand nor appreciate. He will be gutted.

He will not be gutted because he will still have the camaraderie and comradeship of veterans he served with. The other military titles and appointments he had were just honorary and he will not miss them one bit

The military titles he’ll lose are the honorary ones only (as far as I can tell) so these particular titles are not the ones he’s “earned” (unlike his rank of captain and any medals for his time in Afghanistan which he will still be entitled).

So yes only right he ought to forgo these honorary patronage’s as they came only because he was a working royal.

I’m no fan of ANY of the royals so it makes no odds to me if Meghan / Harry are here or not.

If they are not wanting to be based in U.K. as royals then it’s only right any state funded privileges are revoked)
