I don't remember any conversations about her skin colour particularly, but as with all other babies in the family, we did wonder about hair, eye colour etc. It's just interest, as otherwise it's 9 months of knowing not much.
Having said that, one of my best friends, seeing her skin is like a light tan and her hair is dark reddish brown, said "you got away with that, then".
So, I understand how unexpectedly and suddenly it can become a negative.

I agree with Pixie. Not racism, just general interest. I can imagine Camilla saying something ‘larky’ like what colour might their kids be.
