GROMIT, from the CPS website
"Schedule 2 of Counter-Terrorism Act 2008 contains a list of offences which a judge could conclude have 'a terrorist connection'. These include charges such as murder or causing an explosion. For example, the killings of Lee Rigby and Jo Cox MP were charged as murder but both amounted to a terrorism offence and those responsible for the 21/7 bombings were charged with conspiracy to cause explosions, which also amounted to terrorism offences. In all of these cases those convicted are considered terrorists, because even though they are covered by different legislation than the Terrorism Acts, the crimes committed clearly had terrorist aims."

Of course terrorism is a ‘potential’ motive. That was everyone’s first thought. That the Police are following that line of inquiry is reasonable. But until they find evidence and tell us, it is proof of nothing.
I am sure they are also looking at a potential mental health angle, but until his medical history throws up something, we cannot say the attacker was a nutter.

Gromit, you said the man who killed those people in Norway was a nutter without any evidence to support it. As long as murderers aren't confirmed to be Jihadists you seem to be happy. Of course you're not alone around here in that attitude but I can't fathom for the life of me why you embrace it. I personally think it's terribly disrespectful to the victims.
My post on the Danish attacker is here.
