Super market workers are saying delivery lorries are just not arriving....(they should know)..

The truth of the matter is that many supermarkets have had their way of working disrupted, nearly all of them work on a just in time basis. The disruption is for many reasons. Like hearing it or not, Brexit is one of them. Now some may insist that they have not experienced a shortage regarding their own personal shopping list, but one thing is for sure is that your...

I shop at Morrisons so I'm well used to finding empty shelves when I look for the things I want.

I don't think we'll starve.
ROY, the question is, "Did you know.... supermarkets Are experiencing Empty shelves again , of fresh fruit and veg also cold goods ."

Oh dear, the grammar police are out again!
Grammar police?

What are you talking about?
I walked to my local Lidls on Friday about 5pm to grab a few bits after working all day, and I don’t know about everywhere else but there were definitely lots of empty shelves, it just in fruit n veg, but in bread section and lots of other parts of the aisles.
Yes snow,
The same where I live, lots of gaps in fruit and veg, and also bread. I am not necessarily blaming brexit but there is definitely a supply problem. It is happening at nationwide chains of supermarkets.
It seems odd that Leavers especially do not seem to be experiencing any missing items?

And it's not just the food chain that is feeling the pinch from Brexit.
Other UK manufacturers are experiencing Customs delays and red tape paperwork .Two thirds of companies say Brexit has seriously hampered their Business ,because of more import checks and product labelling all causing added costs that have to be passed on to the UK consumer.

we get that here too, thursday evenings are usually the worst. it's because none of the supermarkets have much storage space, their store is the truck delivering the goods, on a "just in time" basis. when traffic is heavy it means the "store" is late arriving and the result is empty shelves. in extreme cases (following an accident, usually) the shop becomes out of range of the delivery depot and they get no supplies at all. the logistics system in this country was set out when there was less traffic on the roads and now needs a thorough overhaul.
Gully - we ALL agree with you. Brexit is ruining the country - it was a terrible mistake and we are truly sorry we voted for it.
The Tories are awful and Boris is a liar and a thoroughly bad man - we are sorry we voted for them.
We will regret these poor decisions as long as we live the rest of our impoverished lives plagued by bad government.

NOW - WILL YOU PLEASE FORK OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brexit is also hampering Uk trade going out ...Exports.
Because of goods entering the E/U from a third Country .
Uk has now become the slowest exporter amongst the big European economies
Just been to Lidl. No empty shelves.
davebro at 10.05. That is extremely rude. Gully has as much right to post on this site as anyone else. Why don't you take your own advice?
