But their insistence on being referred to as women and being treated as such (ably assisted by many politicians) will exacerbate that danger.
Leaving aside the potential for crime, there are very many areas where women would not enjoy the presence of men (and vice versa, for that matter) and they are adequately listed in the Equalities Act. Who, for example, would be happy to learn that Lia Thomas, a 22 year old fully intact male swimmer, was roaming around the changing rooms where their ten year old daughter was getting dressed? But that's exactly what would happen if the trans lobby had their way. Mr Thomas apparently is not averse to roaming round naked in the female changing rooms. He identifies as a woman and that, apparently, is all that matters. I don't think that "lunatics running the asylum" adequately describes the ridiculous situation that has now arisen.
