My mother died at 68 years old and if she had lived to 83 that would have happened with her as it happened for Lady Hussey - I can only speak for Mum but she was very friendly and the lady was (I think) trying her best to be friendly. This touching of hair to see her name badge - blew blew up out of proportion.
Definitely no malice intended from her.

That woman’s parents are immigrants - I checked - so I would say it’s very strange that she doesn’t know where they came from. A simple answer would have avoided this unnecessary unpleasantness - but she chose to stir the pot instead.
