Brexit Poll discovers....Two-thirds of Britons now want a Referendum on Rejoing the EU . Now thats what I call a very good start to the New year . Common sense is prevailing at last. Brits now believe . The economy,
the UK's Global influence, and the ability to control their own borders have now got worse since Brexit ,the survey by "Savanta" shows.

Brexit Regret. Now the undeniable disaster has finally hit home with the British Public .The Tories chose to ignore Brexit in 2022 despite a mountain of evidence on the economic damage it had caused to the UK .
£33 bn in lost trade and investment and a,
Tax loss of £40bn,,Britains economy a lot smaller than if it had remained in the EU, Then the impact on food , £5.8bn in higher food prices . And don't ever forget .This crisis was caused entirely by the Con Party .Started by Cameron and used by Johnson for their own gain ..
You voted Tory , Boris and Brexit ,,, Enjoy .

Wrong on all 3 in my case gulliver
I voted Remain. Shame you couldn't
That’s what I find curious Bob.

Gulliver has a hill to die on with Brexit, but he says it doesn’t affect him. Given that he professes it doesn’t affect him, why would he care?
Cos it gets him lots of replies/attention???
Awe gawd when I read the title in latest posts, I thought it was about a youngster being born.

NM @ 18.14 has it ever occurred to you that due to Brexit you will be affected for the next seven years, seven years!! .Unless you get rid of this Tory Govt and rejoin the EU
Gully, even in the unlikely event of Sir Beer getting through the door of no 10 he's already said Labour are not for rejoining.

The NHS is safe in our hands said the Tories
The BEST NHS in the world said TTT a couple of years ago . Just look at the state of it now, it is even performing worse now than at the height of the Covid Pandemic. What happened to the £350m a week that was going to be pumped into the NHS if you vote Brexit said Boris, It certainly ain't gone to the NHS. Bet Boris knows where it went to.
In what way is it ‘performing worse’?
gully: "The NHS is safe in our hands said the Tories" - doesn't matter who the government is the NHS is the tail wagging the dog, all politicians are terrified of changing it to any degree.
"The BEST NHS in the world said TTT a couple of years ago ." - I have never said that, show me.
"What happened to the £350m a week that was going to be pumped into the NHS if you vote Brexit said Boris" - more literacy issues but for what ot's worth the NHS is getting at least that much more since that figure was bandied about"
Now the Brexiteers don’t even have democracy on their side.

I can confidently predict that as time goes by the number wanting to re-join will only grow; along with the damage Brexit is inflicting on the UK economy.

All the Brexiteers have is their sovereignty, raw sewage being poured into our rivers & coastal waters on an industrial scale, and of course signage distances within the Dartford tunnel.
hymie: "Now the Brexiteers don’t even have democracy on their side." - how so, remind us of the result of the last vote on this subject? Anyway it's a bit rich having an EUSSRphile talking about democracy!
I can confidently predict that the EUSSR will dissolve within a generation.
Where has this myth come from that the NHS is the envy of the world?

The NHS is broken, and it always will be when we're paying to give men vaginas and women penises (plus other pointless procedures) and the top-heavy management, and I hate to break it to those who think it's the fault of the Tories, but it ain't; it's been broken for years, including when it was a Labour Government.

In the last five years I've had to have my wisdom teeth removed, my son needed a circumcision, for medical reasons, and my wife needed a ganglion removed. The NHS estimates were between 1 year and 2 years....fortunately, we're insured, and in each case within a week of a referral from our GP all were sorted.

So, I can't help but think there needs to be a sort of hybrid service, because the NHS in it's current guise is, frankly, bolloxed.
DD: "Where has this myth come from that the NHS is the envy of the world? " - no one has ever said that, what they say is that the IDEA of the NHS, ie free care from the cradle to the grave is the envy of the world and it is. Most countries have a system of barbarity. In the UK we fix first and ask questions later, that is the mark of civilisation. Of course the treatment and systems can be better elsewhere but not much use if you can't obtain it.
Deskdiary - I agree re. the NHS.
I have long said that the NHS needs reform. It needs to run on private sector principles not a standard public sector money pit. No I do not mean privatisation.
//What happened to the £350m a week that was going to be pumped into the NHS if you vote Brexit said Boris, It certainly ain't gone to the NHS. Bet Boris knows where it went to.//
Quick bit of maths gulliver....350million a week is about £18 billion a year.. Guess how much NHS spending has gone up since 2016.... answers alot more than £18billlion pa!
//You voted ...Brexit ,,, Enjoy//

I'm enjoying it enormously so thanks for your good wishes. The thing that makes it most enjoyable of all is that it obviously upsets people who keep on whinging about it.
