Interesting, Isn't It?
There was so much heat and light generated when it was thought that a murderous Islamist was on a rampage. It's all gone a bit quiet since it has been confirmed that he specifically targeted women and the only man he killed was a hard-working muslim (added irony there, I think).
Misogyny is a growing evil in the world.

OG - Of course, it is the way of things when time had passed.
However, events such as these only seem to be consigned to the bin when it transpires that the original suspicions of the contributors were wrong.
No-one seems particularly inclined to discuss this attack now it has been shown that he only wanted to attack women because they were women rather than because he was a muslim and 'that's just what they do'.

I would love to think that everyone who has weighed in with their rampant knee-jerk bigotry will be chastened by the resulting demolition of their abhorrent hatred of an entire culture, given their deafening and continuing silence.
But long and bitter experience shows that this will not be the case.
Mozz - // Andy - as somebody who's chastised me many a time for derailing a thread, you're not exactly practicing what you preach. An important conversation has to be had on misogyny, and you're managing to stop that from happening. //
As far as I am concerned, any post on any thread, has never, and can never 'stop' the conversation from going where it will.
If you know different, feel free to elaborate.
Or, in the interests of not derailing further, perhaps don't bother.
TTT - // AH: "Actually, it's ironic insofar as Islam was balmed, and Islam was not to blame." - ok don't rub it in 😉 //
It needs to be rubbed in.
Why don't you accept your error, and apologise, I would have more respect for you if you did that, even if your fellow conclusion-jumpers have all gone mysteriously quiet.
